Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We tried the paella, tapas, and sangria — everything was absolutely delicious. But what impressed us the most was the atmosphere: it’s a true family-run place and you can really feel the heart and soul in it. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they even treated us to a homemade liqueur. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place!"
"Tasty nice service, price a bit to high. Specially dessert. Vine was very good. Paella was kind of small for the price. Before 19:00 you don’t have waiting time which is very early for local people"
"This is an awesome spot with great traditional food, high quality ingredients and fair prices. In a zone (Barceloneta) filled with a lot of touristy spots I felt this place had its own authenticity and served great traditional food. Let’s start from the fact that the staff is great: they are super nice and pleasant to chat with. They were super kind to find us a spot for a group of 5 despite being very full and reserved. Made our day. Now to the food: anchovies , olives , fried fresh pescado, they were all incredibly fresh and tasty. The anchovies especially were a dream. The pulp a la gallega was so well cooked, not stringy or chewy like you usually get. And the paella de marisco was truly a gem. The price was also good, considering we ordered A LOT including tinto de verano we spent less than 40 euro per person. Thank you for the great experience, this is highly recommended!!"
"We really enjoyed our dinner at Casa marina Picufi. The calamari was delicious and the paella full of flavour. Both dishes were prepared with care. The only thing missing was a drink menu, which would have made ordering easier. The atmosphere in November was a bit quiet, but overall it was a very pleasant and tasty experience."
"Authentic Paella by a small family business. Booked this due to reviews and we are happy with our dining experience. The family are so nice. The Paella was so flavourful. The recommended starter is also really nice. Price is not expensive as compare to other Paella places. Highly recommended and will go back here again on our next visit."
"I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant the moment I entered. Typically, beachfront restaurants with lots of tourists are expensive and not so great. Furthermore, customers often pay for the view. This restaurant is located a block away, and the fried calamari we had for appetizer was surprisingly delicious and presented in a way that was comparable to what I'd had before, so I was expecting our main course to be equally delicious. As expected, the paella, with its rich shrimp and seafood flavors, had a deep, oceanic flavor."
"We LOVED this spot. You walk past all the super yachts, and all the touristy restaurants, then go down this side street and BAM-you hit such a wonderful, family owned restaurant. Rosa the owner and Luis behind the bar are such wonderful genuine folks and they made our dining experience so memorable. And The food- OMG next level outstanding, you can tell the love they put into every dish. This is a MUST go-to place to dine!!"
"Everything about this family run, home made, Galacia and seafood restaurant was spectacular. From the friendly service, to the top quality food, fresh seafood, cooked to perfection, and not forgetting the very tasty Paella. We ordered everything on the menu and every dish was fantastic without exception. Highly recommended. Book in advance. A must visit when you come to Barcelona."
